Most Career starts without a podium in Formula One History

There have been many racers in the history of Formula one who have achieved podium finishes in the very first race of their career. On the other hand, there are racers who have had much experience but grabbing the podium finishes remained a dream for them. Some of them are the ones, who have been a part of more than 100 races. Staying in the competition till 100 races is an untroublesome job.

1) Nico Hulkenberg(137 races)
The German driver secured the only pole position of his career in Brazil,2010. Since then he has taken part in 137 Formula one races but the podium finish still appears far away from his reach. The car no. 27 never made the circumstances ideal for gaining a podium finish. The 2018 season is not going to be easy enough for Nico because Carlos Sainz has heightened the competitiveness for him, by joining the team Renault  in the mid 2017 season. In comparison with Jolyon Palmer, Carlos Sainz is going to be a tough competitor for him but Nico has been performing consistently well in wet conditions. Many records are knocking his door in the coming season.

2) Adrian Sutil(128 races)
Another German driver in the list, there is no way for him to return to Formula one. He recently was surpassed by Nico Hulkenberg for the top spot. Although he had finished at the fifth place in his career thrice, but his best came at Monza(Italy) in 2009 where he finished fourth for the very first time in his career. Five of his eight year old Formula One career, he spent with Force India. At various occasions he overtook many big team's guys. But every time his performance proved inadequate.

3) Pier luigi Martini(124 races)
This Italian driver had a long Formula one career and
was the most successful racer from the Minardi F1 team. In 1991, he was succeeded in achieving the fourth position twice but never after. For more than two decades, he was remunerated with the top spot for not gaining any podium finish throughout his career. He had a very strong bonding with the evacuation process in between the raceThis can be considered as the reason why he never got podium finishes. 124 is a huge number, surely was  sore for him.

4) Philippe Alliot(116 races)
Career's very first season for the French man was like
a frightening dream. Thirteen off sixteen races he did
not finished. The situation remained the same for two
successive years. Regarded as his best   performance, came in the form of fifth in San Marino,1993 but on the other hand, that was one of his worst performances, because he had lapped twice in that single race. His career was such that Fernando Alonso has had to endure through the past few years. But it is not right to distinguish between these two.
